2018 Justice Walk/Run
4th Annual Justice Walk/Run
Wednesday, September 12th at 5:30 P.M.
Proceeds raised will support Hiscock Legal Aid Society and the Volunteer Lawyers Project’s collaborative immigration project.
This program fills a major gap in services by helping the immigrant and refugee community apply for a variety of forms of immigration relief that will grant people lawful status and allow them to work, attend college, and become full participants in New York State.
The CNY Immigration Collaboration serves eighteen counties in New York State. A panel of dedicated volunteer attorneys provide legal advice and representation free of charge as well as confidential legal clinics.
Many of the clients benefiting from the program are Bhutanese refugees, Somali and Middle Eastern families. The collaborative immigration project is also serving many clients from Central America. Due of the far reach of the program, funds raised from the Justice Walk/Run are critical to providing these free legal services.
